I saw in the paper saturday that Jim Carlyon passed away. He was in our
class, but I think he graduated in 1962. The obit did not mention anything
about an illness or an accident. I know you try to update our info, but
this is not the best update.

James Jim Morris Carlyon

CARLYON, James Jim Morris Carlyon was born April 12, 1943, in Jacksonville, Florida and died July 30, 2003, in Trenton, Florida, where he had resided for the past 10 years. He was the son of Martha and George Carlyon. During his life he was a member of the American Red Cross Life Saving Corp., Jacksonville Beach, and was credited with 3 rescues. His life was filled with many and varied interests, among them sailing. He is survived by a son, George Robert and daughter, Erin Elizabeth of Trenton, FL; sister, Julianne C DeJong and brother, Steve Carlyon of Jacksonville; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and many cousins and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 12th, 2003, at Oaklawn Cemetery..
