The collector car hobby spans a vast range of automotive interests from classics and antiques to special-interest cars, exotics, street rods and vintage race cars. The Meguiar's award was created to honor individuals who have made a significant contribution to the quality, visibility and growth of our hobby.
The selection process is a difficult task with some many deserving candidates. The jury is made of some of the most prominent automotive journalists, representing the breadth of the hobby. Each person on the selection committee values the role of every segment of the hobby and each is committed to being fully objective and analytical during the process.
The striking Meguiar's Award trophy is an original sculpture by famed automotive artist, Dennis Hoyt. The sculpture artfully captures the span of automotive design from the earliest years to the cars beyond. The original sculpture remains on display for a full year at the host museum while each year's award recipient receives a special limited-edition replica.
